This is my go-to calendar app. It has THE BEST and most sophisticated engine for scheduling recurrent events. Version 5.0 (issued Jan 24) has fixed the color coding bug. You now have the option of activating color coding through the settings tab. However, the "updated" (messed up) interface is still a step backward compared to the older versions. The ruler lines under the scheduled items are gone in the weekly view, which makes individual items harder to read. Individual days headers used to be nice black contrasted ribbons, which are no longer there. Please at least give the option of reverting to the old interface to those of us who preferred it that way. The original Hachi Cal actually had the nicest week view layout interface. The current version of Hachi Cal 2 has now fallen behind its main competitor Week Cal.

The last update *ruined* what was the best calendar ever for the iPhone! I used it for everything. But without the easy color coding of events, it is now no better than the calendar that comes with the phone. How sad ... Back to five stars! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! for fixing the color coding of events! Now the only way to improve this app is to make it sync (*including* all the colors) with iPad... one can dream...

What I like the most about this app is that I can see my appointments written out on a monthly calendar, & thus have a frame of reference regarding the rest of the month. I like that my different calendars maintain their color-code in this app. Choosing which calendars I want to display (or not) is easy and works well. (I turn off the Facebook birthdays a lot) I like how easy it is to add a new entry, that it remembers items that I frequently put in so I can add them even faster, & I like that it remembers my default reminder times. Appts still show at the bottom like the apple default, but instead of asinine dots on the month part of the calendar, the calendar has your appts actually written in; my preference. (This is why I dont like Fantasical or the default apple calendar; the data isnt shown on the actual month calendar. Just dots! You have to look below to see what the dot means. ) I prefer Hatchis way of displaying it all on the month view, much like if you wrote it on a large desk calendar. I do wish Hachi would work on speed issues, but having said that, it isnt painfully slow or anything; just noticeable. Thanks Devs for a great app!

I phones new 7.0.2 OS has almost purposely ruined the cool calendar, forcing me to buy another. So I purchased the Hachi & it works better than Apples calendar. Easy & bright notes and events. You can review a highlighted event without opening the day.

I love most of what this calendar can do. You can set colors for each event and unlike the Apple calendar the color you set is the color you get. Nobody has decided a washed out version would work better for you. Events on your calendar show up as a word rather than a dot so you can just glance at the month view and know what is happening for the day. Events can be added or deleted with the same simplicity as most calendars. My only complaint is that it only works in one direction. Sometimes Im in landscape view on one app and then check my calendar and its a little annoying to have to pick up my iPad and turn it so I can see. It also only works one way in portrait mode, so if you happen to be using your iPad with the home button up you again have to turn it over so you arent looking at it upside down. Small flaw, but one that is so basic I can only assume it will never be addressed.

When I make an adjustment to existing appt the color defaults to blue even if I select a new color. I have to re add appt to get a new color. This has only been Since the last update. Please correct

I have tried about every calendar task apps available. This one is hands down the BEST!!!! Love the ability to make events as tasks. Great functionality and Great views with Great color choices etc... Cant find anything negative about it. Great work by the developers. This app should show up earlier when searching for calendars in the App Store.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this app!!!! I can have multiple reminders of events! Its color coded and it links with my iPhone calendar! I am a massage therapist and I can put my sessions in a certain color as well as my personal in another color!

With the new update the items are not showing up in the colors i picked for them to be, they are just showing up in black. Also if there are items on days that also have all day events they arent showing up at all unless you click on the date. It looks like these items have disappeared. I loved this calendar and hope they can fix these things soon so I can go back to loving this calendar!!!!

This is by far the best Calendar yet. Easy to use and love all the features it has. Thanks for creating this app.
